At the heart of La Débauche brewery, the Taproom offers a unique immersion into one of Angoulême’s most creative brewing worlds. Here, beer isn’t just something to be tasted, it becomes an experience, enhanced by the venue’s architecture, graphic design, and an eclectic cultural program.

Located on Rue des Lignes since 2018, the brewery brings together its production facilities, its shop, and this bar with a decidedly contemporary atmosphere all under one roof. Metal, concrete, and modern artwork create a raw, almost industrial setting that contrasts with the richness and precision of the beers on offer.

A Brewing Scene Like No Other

A pioneer of the French craft beer movement, La Débauche has cultivated an approach that defies convention since 2013. Over 350 recipes have been created over the years, ranging from intensely hoppy IPAs to Imperial Stouts, including fruity sours, traditional Belgian beers, and non-alcoholic creations.

At the Taproom, this creativity comes to life right in your glass, in an environment that captures the brewery’s identity. Beer enthusiasts can explore both the classics from the collection and the limited-edition brews, which are often more experimental.

The brewery’s proximity to Cognac also inspires its barrel-aging process, while certain brews emphasize maturity and aromatic complexity. This approach sometimes brings the tasting experience closer to the world of wine or spirits.

More Than Just a Bar

The Taproom is designed to be a true hub of activity. In addition to the beers brewed on-site, the menu features cheese platters from the Trait-d’Union dairy and charcuterie from Lapierre Tradition. The program regularly adds new dimensions to the experience: concerts, tasting workshops, markets, quizzes, and creative events take place throughout the year.

For those who want to go beyond just tasting, brewery tours are held on Saturdays at 4 p.m. Lasting about an hour and a half, these tours let you discover the brewing process and sample several of the brewery’s beers.
