The Cinéma de la Cité

The Cinéma de la Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l'image is an arthouse cinema in Angoulême, offering a rich and varied program as well as a strong commitment to culture and education. There are two screening rooms (Nemo and Laloux) with a total capacity of 294 seats.

The cinema screens more than 300 films a year, including arthouse films, documentaries, independent films, and award-winning festival films.

Cultural and Educational Activities

• Ciné môme: programs tailored for young audiences, with screenings followed by creative workshops and snacks.
• Middle and High School at the Cinema: quarterly screenings to introduce students to classics and contemporary works in their original language with subtitles.
