Les jardins de Laussagne

The Jardins de Laussagne is an English-style garden located in Vouzan, a few kilometers from Angoulême, offering a space for relaxation, creativity, and fellowship amid more than one hectare of colorful and harmonious natural surroundings.

The garden is nestled in the Horte Forest, in a lush, rolling landscape, offering a peaceful atmosphere on the edge of the Charente countryside.

History and Design

• The garden was created in 2015 by Cédric Maury, who drew inspiration from English gardens to design lush and colorful flowerbeds, avoiding the rigidity of the French style and the simplicity of the Japanese style.
• It consists of several themed sections organized by color, featuring plantings of perennials, roses, trees, and shrubs, along with a mix of decorative elements such as sculptures, mobiles, and wickerwork.

Experience and Tours

• Visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls to admire the colorful flower beds and artistic installations, punctuated by recycled decorations and handcrafted creations.
• The garden opens its doors on select dates, notably the third Sunday of each month from March through October, offering an intimate and welcoming visit.
• The project also includes workshops open to the public, where participants can create portable plant arrangements at a reasonable cost (20–25 €), with guidance from the owner.

• The design emphasizes color harmony, using no more than two dominant colors per flower bed to create a subtle and balanced visual experience.
