The Memorial to the Resistance and Deportation traces the chronology of World War II and the rise of Nazism in Charente.
It explores the demarcation line, collaboration, and the emergence of the Resistance with the maquis. Repression, deportation, and liberation by the FFL are also covered.
Hundreds of objects, weapons, mannequins, photos, and historical documents illustrate these various themes across 400 square meters of exhibition space.
