Marsac Swimming Area

The Grande Île Swimming Area is located on the Charente River, near the town of Marsac. The water quality here is excellent, making it ideal for river swimming. The area features a picnic area, a playground, and a snack bar.

Swimming is supervised daily from July 1 through August 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Outside of this period, swimming is still permitted but unsupervised.

You can enjoy an outdoor lunch at the picnic tables and in the green spaces, where you can settle in comfortably, or grab a bite to eat at the snack bar.

Younger children won’t be left out, with playgrounds suited to their age group.
