Open year-round, the Comic Book Library welcomes visitors of all ages, whether they’re looking to take a break to read, relax, or borrow materials. Its collection, which can be browsed on-site and borrowed, allows visitors to the Comic Book Museum to continue their exploration, while offering local residents year-round access to new releases, themed selections, and the staff’s top picks.

The library offers:

• More than 54,000 comics for children and adults to borrow: Franco-Belgian comics, American comics, manga, manhwa, manhua, webtoons, graphic novels...
• Magazines dedicated to comics, art, and visual culture.
• Picture books for toddlers (ages 0–5).
• Documentaries for children and adults on comics, artistic techniques, video games, and animated films.
• Board games inspired by art, drawing, and the worlds of comics.
• A GrainoBD Library.

Borrowing Policies

• With the GrandAngoulême
  library and media center card, you can borrow up to 6 items for a period of 3 weeks, with the option to renew the loan twice. In July and August, borrowing is unlimited for everyone.
• With the Cité
  Card The Cité Card allows you to borrow an unlimited number of books for a period of 3 weeks, renewable twice. It also offers many benefits: free admission to the Comic Book Museum, discounted tickets at the Cité’s movie theater, a 5% discount at the bookstore, and many other perks.
